What can go in a dumpster?

Most household junk, remodeling debris, construction waste, and roofing material can be accepted when loaded correctly.

Common accepted materials

  • Furniture, boxes, household junk, and general cleanout debris.
  • Wood, drywall, flooring, cabinets, siding, and remodel material.
  • Roofing shingles and underlayment when quoted as roofing debris.
  • Concrete, brick, dirt, or heavy debris only when approved in advance.

Ask before loading these items

  • Wet paint, stains, fuels, oils, and solvents
  • Batteries, propane tanks, and pressurized containers
  • Tires, asbestos, medical waste, and hazardous chemicals
  • Refrigerators, freezers, and appliances with refrigerants unless approved
  • Liquids, food waste, and materials restricted by local disposal facilities
